The Big Move....

Our move finally happened on Jan. 24th, leaving NH behind for the great state of NJ.  I'm going to miss home, but I am excited to live in a place that has more than just a Walmart.  We're staying with Gilbert's folks until we figure out what we want to do.  Luckily we've got the basement all to ourselves and have been able to make it somewhat homey.  Though it's a little cramped, it actually feels perfect for right now.

And it has the two things that are most important to me........

Gilbert!

1) Obviously Gilbert!

Our VERY Comfy Bed

2) Our Bed (not going to lie this was almost # 1)

There is one big difference between NH and NJ that I've discovered so far... Girl Scout Cookies!  Gilbert and I were so excited when we saw Girl Scouts selling cookies outside of a bagel shop this morning (okay there are two major differences between the states, and NJ definitely wins the bagel contest).

It turns out the GS Cookies they sell here are made by a different baker (ABC, not Little Brownie Baker (seriously, even the name Little Brownie Baker is better)).  Let me just say that Samoas should never be called Caramel DeLites, Tagalongs shouldn't be Peanut Butter Patties and Trefoils shouldn't be just plain ole Shortbread.  So far we've tried their version of the Samoas, and though they are tasty, they're just not the same.  We found out that it's because ABC makes them with Milk Chocolate instead of Dark Chocolate.  TRAVESTY!  We'll see how the others compare later.

Trefoils and Tea

Luckily for me, I hoarded Trefiols last year so I have a box left!  My all time favorite way to eat them is with Earl Grey Tea.

What's your favorite way to eat Girl Scout Cookies?!

  2. Aww, maybe your subconscious has been telling you all these years to stay away from them because you're allergic?
